ProTechtem setup

Save to a flash drive you own

  1. Sign into ProTechtem from the Resolved app when its production portal becomes available.
  2. Choose Downloads & USB setup. Use Save to flash drive on supported desktop browsers, or Download and choose your drive in the browser's Save dialog.
  3. Keep the installer, this guide and SHA256.txt together. The drive stores software only. Never copy a guardian password, recovery key, pairing code or child location report onto a shared drive.
  4. Safely eject the drive. A phone may need a compatible USB-C/Lightning adapter and support for reading external storage. A flash drive is optional; approved direct downloads will also work.

Android phone or tablet

A compatible Android device may open an APK copied through a flash drive. Installation may require Android's source-specific installation permission and its normal security checks. Do not disable security scanning or ignore a malicious-app warning. This package is a development build, not a Play Store release.

Apple iPhone or iPad

A flash drive can hold this guide or approved installation links. Copying an IPA file to the drive does not make it installable on a regular iPhone. ProTechtem needs its own signed, approved Apple distribution route, such as TestFlight during testing and the App Store for release. No valid ProTechtem installation link is available in this development kit.

Windows and Mac computers

The Windows development ZIP contains a self-contained companion: extract it before opening. It is unsigned and not a public release. Do not bypass operating-system security warnings. The Mac companion is still being validated; a customer installer is not available. Parent dashboard installation is separate from the companion that shares a computer’s location.

First-launch permissions

Open the companion after installation. Permission setup appears immediately; Continue opens the operating system’s relevant permission request. Denying access leaves monitoring off. Installation itself cannot grant permissions. Android also requires its visible notification permission where supported. No camera or microphone access is requested.

On-device acceptance

  1. Read what is shared and with which guardian. Use the one-time pairing code and compare the guardian/device fingerprints.
  2. Select Accept & request pairing to agree to the visible sharing disclosure. That button is not proof of legal guardianship and cannot grant system permissions.
  3. The guardian confirms the paired device. The device user completes Apple's or Android's location prompts and starts visible sharing.
  4. Check the dashboard's report time and accuracy. A delayed or offline report is not a live fix. Use Stop sharing or system privacy settings to stop access.

Parent/guardian authorization, secure pairing and device permission are separate requirements. Software cannot provide unrestricted device access or convert ordinary Bluetooth accessories into independent GPS trackers.
